MY MANIFESTO
A people-centred agenda for Okitipupa and Irele
Transformation, inclusion and sustainable growth. Five pillars to anchor my legislative work and constituency interventions.
IDERA DEE. IBO YAPAA.
A VISION FOR OUR PEOPLE
A promise carved from listening to your voices
Okitipupa and Irele are blessed communities, endowed with fertile land, talented people, rich cultural heritage and abundant natural resources. Yet for too long our people have lived beneath their potential, weighed down by poverty, limited access to quality education, unemployment and the underdevelopment of our agrarian economy.
This manifesto is not merely a political document. It is a social contract with you, the people, grounded in evidence and shaped by the realities of our constituency. It rests on five transformative pillars: poverty alleviation, youth sustainable empowerment, education for the needy, agricultural development, and skill acquisition. I ask for your trust, your vote and your partnership.
UNDERSTANDING OUR CONSTITUENCY
Rich in resources, ready for real development
Okitipupa and Irele sit in the southern senatorial district of Ondo State, communities rich in history, culture and natural endowments including oil palm, cocoa, rubber, timber and bitumen deposits. Ours is a largely agrarian population with strong commercial activity in Okitipupa town and the surrounding communities. Despite this potential, the constituency faces real development challenges, and this manifesto sets out to address them directly and bring the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
THE FIVE PILLARS
The foundation of the Okitipupa and Irele we deserve
01
Poverty Alleviation
Poverty is the single greatest threat to the dignity, health and future of our people. Addressing it requires a comprehensive, multi-sectoral approach that combines direct welfare with long-term economic inclusion.
STRATEGIC GOALS
Reduce the poverty rate among youth by at least 30% within four years.
Establish measurable social protection systems for the most vulnerable households.
Create enabling environments for economic participation across all segments of society.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
A minimum of 5,000 households lifted out of extreme poverty.
Over 10,000 residents accessing improved healthcare through outreach.
Sustainable income improvement for market women and small traders.
02
Youth Sustainable Empowerment
The youth of Okitipupa and Irele are our greatest asset and our most urgent responsibility. Our approach is not tokenistic. It is systematic, sustainable and transformational.
STRATEGIC GOALS
Reduce youth unemployment by 30% over four years.
Empower at least 3,000 young people every year through structured economic and leadership initiatives.
Establish permanent, functional development infrastructure in the constituency.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
1,000+ youths gainfully empowered through training and jobs each year.
A growing community of youth entrepreneurs driving the local economy.
500 young women, widows and women aged 65+ empowered, with talent supported in sport, music and other skills.
03
Education for the Needy
Education is the great equalizer. No child should be denied the chance to learn because of poverty, geography or circumstance. Our agenda is rooted in access, quality and equity.
STRATEGIC GOALS
Achieve 95% primary school enrolment and retention across the constituency.
Support at least 500 students every year through scholarships and bursaries.
Rehabilitate and equip a minimum of 20 public schools, and back learners living with disabilities.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
Zero dropout among supported scholarship students.
Improved WAEC and NECO results through extra lessons and summer classes.
Thousands of children from needy homes accessing quality education.
04
Agricultural Development
Agriculture is the backbone of livelihoods here, from oil palm and cocoa to subsistence farming and fishing. Our farmers lack modern inputs, credit, storage and reliable markets. This must change.
STRATEGIC GOALS
Increase agricultural productivity by 20% through modern inputs and improved techniques.
Establish value chain linkages connecting farmers to processors and markets.
Reduce post-harvest losses by 60% through storage and processing infrastructure.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
A significant rise in farm yields and farmer incomes.
Reduced food insecurity and dependence on imported food.
Growth of agribusiness enterprises and rural employment.
04
Skill Acquisition
In a changing economy, the ability to earn is tied to the skills one holds. Skill acquisition builds competent, confident and economically independent citizens who drive development from the grassroots.
STRATEGIC GOALS
Train and certify at least 5,000 residents in market-relevant vocational and technical skills over four years.
Establish permanent, well-equipped skill acquisition centres in both Okitipupa and Irele LGAs.
Link graduates to employment and self-employment opportunities.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
1,000+ residents trained and certified in income-generating skills.
Hundreds of new micro-enterprises established by graduates.
A significant reduction in youth idleness and dependency.
Legislative Agenda
As your representative in the House of Representatives, my legislative work will complement and drive these constituency interventions. I will sponsor, co-sponsor and advocate for legislation that creates an enabling environment for our communities.
Accountability & Transparency
Power belongs to the people, and every mandate must be accounted for. I am committed to the highest standards of transparency, responsiveness and accountability in representing our constituency.
